Properties Sidebar

The DéjàClick Sidebar contains two types of DéjàClick sidebars, Results and Properties. The Properties Sidebar displays property panels for recorded web page elements, which provides many replay customization capabilities for your recorded script and can enable advanced DéjàClick users to tweak the playback for their specific needs.

Display Levels

There are two Display Levels that can be selected from the dropdown menu at the bottom of the Sidebar:

  • Basic
  • Advanced

Click the Properties Sidebar icon Properties_sidebar.png in the DéjàClick Toolbar to display the DéjàClick Properties Sidebar on the left side of the main browser window. At the bottom of the sidebar, click the field labeled Display Level. It's Basic by default; select Advanced for the ability to interact with advanced properties.

You can also change the display level using the Configuration Options dialog.

Illustrated here are the properties displayed with Basic and Advanced display levels:

Managing Script Properties

Use the Properties tab to modify recording options, such as input or timeout values, on the fly. Experienced users may find many of these more advanced features helpful for fine-tuning record and playback properties.

Below is an example of how to modify one of the script properties, Dialog Prompts.

Dialog Prompts

Under certain conditions, a dialog prompt may be presented during the recording of a transaction. There may be a login pop-up, certificate dialog, or other pop-up requiring confirmation. DéjàClick Dialog Prompt property panel allows the user to account for that.

For a step-by-step example illustrating how to modify the dialog prompt properties, click Dialog Prompts.
